On May 5, non-governmental organizations “Changes for Equal Rights” and “Coalition for Independent Living,” within the framework of the EU project “Coordinated Civil Society Advocacy for the Implementation of Obligations to Protect the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in Georgia,” held a march of persons with disabilities in the city of Batumi.
European Independent Living Day was founded in 2014 by the European Independent Living Network (ENIL). Its celebration aims to unite people with disabilities and their supporters and raise awareness of independent living.
